The BPX’s experts carried out the SAP workshops at the University of Economics and Human Sciences in Warsaw

Anna Saczuk, who is the Vice CEO and Head of the Digital Transformation Services department at BPX S.A., and Maciej Gieracha, who holds S4H Program Manager and Delivery Partner positions at BPX S.A., have been associated with SAP systems for over a dozen years. Their experience and expertise in this industry made they were invited to take part in actions of the University of Economics and Human Sciences in Warsaw as Members of the International Academic and Business Council.   

The initiative decided by the university aims to build continued cooperation between the University of Economics and Human Sciences in Warsaw and outstanding people related to science, business, and non-profit areas. These relations allow to development of long-term and important projects focused on implementing positive changes.   

The Council also facilitates the establishment of business cooperation in the field of education and the organization of joint events. It brings together scientists from various fields, businesspeople, representatives of foundations, as well as non-governmental and non-profit organizations. The members of the Council come from various countries around the world and represent almost all continents. Moreover, the mission of the Council is to promote the 17 Sustainable Development Goals in line with the UN agenda, focusing on five aspects: people, planet, prosperity, peace, and partnership. The Council’s experts also help in organizing workshops or lectures for our students and academic staff as part of the International Classroom. 

During the workshops with business practitioners, students had a chance to take part in discussion panels:   

1. IT services market in Poland and Europe – short characteristics of the market and trends:
   a. Why this market is that much attractive for young people? – an interactive asking and the results; 
   b. Does exist one desired model of competencies/candidate’s profile? – awareness of the needs
   Discussion: Do we can predict which skills will be still highly attractive?   
2. How to become a SAP consultant and what does the work look like? – basic introduction to SAP, where SAP consultants come from, how to gain SAP knowledge, a typical day of SAP consultant today and in the past.

While the event was last, speakers put on the practice and created a space for asking questions and open discussion.
